Well after years and years of going to Lake George NY, we ended up buying our first boat. The resort we stay at has always had Nautique’s.

Well after being a member to CCF and going to the 2008 Northeast Reunion in 2008 in Lake George, I knew I head to clean up the boat as there were so many great boats there.
During the winter of 08-09 I took time to trying to make the stereo system better making a sub box under the bow and other things. Once I was done with creating the box the next project was to replace the original carpet, what a mistake. Found the floor was cracked and soft, I immediately called my brother and father to see what we should do. My brother and I get this bright idea to call the dealer where we bought it and find out what to do. Either trade it in for newer or keep it and restore it. Well my brother and I wanted to be able to go skiing this year 2009 so we talked to Ken at Adirondack Marine and we pulled the trigger on the 2008 ski nautique 206 which was at the 2009 Northeast Reunion. We ended up restoring this 85 down to bare hull piece by piece we rebuilt it. We got the bright idea of doing everything composite from (JoeNY) instead of wood, it cost a little more but the boat will never rot. My father and myself really put alot of work into making everything get back to normal but it just took too long to be able to bring it up to the 2009 Reunion as we still had some work to finish. After about 100 hrs of labor for myself and my father we completed the boat and water tested on October 4th 2009. We brought both boats with us just in case, anchored up the new boat on the river and had to ski behind it. I believe the boat is a different boat, wake seems softer and rides/sits higher in the water. We skied one last time with the boat on October 11th, 2009 to end the season on the water with both boats. What did I learn from this experience alot of hard work. I enjoyed it as well as my father, it was great bonding time.

The boat currently has 1015hrs on it and she pulls hard great acceleration with the Acme 540 prop instead of factory prop. The GPS’ed speed was 45MPH, at 4700rpms.

Thanks for CCF to share our adventure of water activities.
