I pretty much grew up going to the river on the weekends and then camping on the lake a couple of weeks out of the year. Through high school, I lived close to the water and had friends with boats that we would take out for some fun. Once I went to college, I did not get to go out on the water as much and forgot how much fun it was. In 05 we had a men’s day at the lake with a bunch of my friends. This lit that fire back and I worked out a deal to get a boat with my father-in-law. The search was on, I wanted a boat that was reliable, in good condition, threw a good wake for wake boarding, was budget friendly and had a good resale value. I found that and more with the SN 2001. I found this one on Smith Lake through an online ad. I went up, took a look at it, took it for a test drive and I was sold. I did some tests on the engine and stringers and everything looked good. We worked out a price and it came home with me. The previous owner had had it since 87 and took very good care of it. The guy’s wife jokingly said if it would have fit in the house it would have been in the bed between them. I am going to keep up this kind of care on it. I currently have it torn apart to replace the stringers, foam, floor and carpet. I have been working on this project for over 4 years now and I hope to have it completed and back in the water by the end of June 2012. We will see!! :-)
