I purchased the boat in the summer of 2007 for around $1,500, and it was in poor shape. But it did run, and I was able to use it for about two months after I bought it before the steering cable snapped. Then though the winter of ’07-’08 my buddy and I work on bringing it back to life so she would ride again with honor. Long to shot, we fixed the mechanical issues, put in new carpet, cleaned the hell out of it and I had the seats sent out to be reupholstered. I think it turned out even better than either of us had expected, and although it is still not “perfect” it is a lot of fun. If there are any other American Skier owners out there with a similar boat tell me about it. Ironically enough my brother in-law and myself own the only two like in existence that we know of.
