Fortunately, I have been around boats since I was a teenager. From 70’ race sailboats to 16’ Hobie Cats. Power boats included 409 powered Hondo flat bottoms to 427 Ford dual 4 barreled side oilers powered Nordic long decks. I can not leave out the human powered canoes. Yes, I love boats and being on the water!

How did I end up with a ’84 CCSN? Well, I have always liked the classic look of a SN - it was this or a Donzi 18 or 21. My son is 14 - I need a stock tow boat. The boat is from NorCal and was stored indoors. So, it is not a project boat in the sense that you at the CCFan define it. But, every boat that I have every had has always been a "project".

- Tune Up
- Water in the gas tank
- Wrong fuel gauge - have replaced it w/ the correct Teleflex.
- Fixed the Cigarette lighter
- All the gauges and Nav lights work now
- All of the filters replaced
- Lots of hand polish
- Tighten steering wheel
- Fixed short to ground

I know, minor stuff compared to you REAL project guys! The boat is very original and I plan to keep it that way. No tower or even engine mods. I really like the boat as it is. Why Hot Rod a CCSN? For that I would go back to really fast boats designed for that purpose. Plus, my son likes to drive it now! That is what it about for me!
