Purchased as a "pig-in-a-poke" this Martinique just had "good bones", in my judgment. First, I got her running; then, I went to work on the cosmetics. The scars on the hull and topside were filled, buffed, re-taped, and polished to a high sheen. The rub-rail was replaced, as well as the carpet, and the ivory upholstery (original tuck pattern retained). All the teak brightwork, paneling, and cabinet doors were cleaned and refinished with six coats of high gloss marine grade polyurethane. The sloppy Edelbrock carburetor was replaced with a new OE Holley. The rear seal and dampner were replaced rendering her "ready to go". She runs and handles like new. The exhaust note around 2300 RPM’s is beautiful! I am very proud of my efforts and for continuing the tradition of Correct Craft’s fine boats.
