Update 6/5/05: The boat was for sale but my wife and I decided we had to keep it at least for this season. Fortunately we lined up a place to keep it close to our house.
I bought this ’79 in the summer of ’03 and instantly fell in love with Ski Nautiques. This boat served me well for 2 seasons but I needed some extra space and upgraded to a 2002 Ski Nautique.
The engine has just been rebuilt and has 10 hours as of 5/15/05. The engine runs strong and pulls hard. The engine was built with top quality components and should be around 300hp. More pictures of the boat/trailer/engine are available upon request. Here are some details:
1979 Ski Nautique & Original Trailer (~1135hrs)
Motor Cover and front seats are original and have some wear and fading but are generally good. Rear seat and backrest have been reupholstered. I have a full roll of material to match the rear seat that will go with the boat.
The boat has a Humminbird thru-hull depthfinder. It also has a 4-blade stainless steel OJ prop and a spare 3-blade Nibral prop. A trailerable cover and bimini are also included.
New fuel hose was installed from tank to engine, along with new spin-on style fuel filter and header. All water hoses are also new.
Steering cable was replaced and helm steering box taken apart, cleaned, and repacked in May ’05
Trailer has new Timken bearings and the bunk pads were just recovered with 2 layers of marine carpet. Tail lights are also new. I have a spare tire for the trailer but it’s not mounted on the trailer.
