I found this boat on the Craig’s List as many of you may already be aware. It is an OE 352 Interceptor boat and I just had to have it. So two days later I was hopping into my truck on a 2000 mile mission. I left Texas for Indianapolis on a sunny 85 degree day in my shorts and flip flops. By the time I reached Indy it was 30 degrees and snowing. It was par for the trip. Two days, 2000 miles, 2 snow storms, 4 thunderstorms and 2 pints of Jack at my cousin’s in Nashville later, I had her at her new home in Texas. All the while that Correct Craft #3 pulled like a dream.

The boat apparently started its journey in Nebraska and was sold to his son who took it to Colorado, who then sold it to his brother and it moved to Ohio. The brother then sold it to the seller I bought it from in Indiana. This boat is well travelled to say the least.

It is SN 1498. The motor cover is missing, there is paint over the original gel, the stringers need reworking but the floor is solid. It has a few missing components such as the rope bar in the back, original steering wheel, and the original gas tank. There is currently a 390 installed instead of the 352 for which I believe I have a replacement. But overall, this boat is pretty much all there.

I plan on taking this boat down to her bare bones and resurrecting her as near original as possible. The original color is Sea Foam green. I see lots of reds and blues out there. I think Sea Foam green should just be gorgeous. And that big block, well what can you say? Nothing like the roar of solid lifters through straight exhausts.

Should be fun. It will be a while before I can get started on this one. I’m working on a Stars and Stripes that is about 70% and then it’s on to this one. I will keep ya posted.
