Hello CCFAN! I’ve been lurking,,,and buying parts through the site for a few months now and thought I’d let you in on my project. I can’t give all the great details around this at the moment but it’s a neat story. Here’s the Cliffs Notes:

Father-in-Law (FIL) bought a Mustang in 1970. Had until he passed away 12 years ago. My wife and her sisters grew up skiing behind the boat every weekend. My FIL hot rodded this boat every chance he could...anything to go faster! (This will not be a rebuild for the purist but in line with my FIL’s personality...sure miss him! Anyway...the boat fell into disrepair and, back in 2005, we reluctantly decided to sell it. Shouldn’t have. Now the good news! in Feb of 2012...I’m cruising ebay with boat fever and...you guessed it...THE boat was there staring back at me! It had been sitting in a KY field for a couple years and was being sold for parts. Nope. I bought it and she’s on her way back! Stringer and floor done. Original HM engine seized but found a palmer WITH trans on craigslist for $250 out of a ’73 Mustang! She’ll do for now until I can rebuild the HM. More later but I hope this gives you the gist of the story! Thanks to all those who’ve helped thus far with parts!
