This beauty has been in my family since 1991, purchased off the show room floor brand new by my four cousins who were all brothers. They traded it back and forth a few times, and finally wound up in Columbus, Ohio. In 2011, while visiting my Aunt and Uncle, I heard that my cousin was selling the boat to look for something bigger (something about getting too old and too fat). I knew this was my only shot at keeping the Ski Nautique in the family, so I went for it and made him an offer. Luckily I got the family discount, and my Dad and a friend picked it up on the way back from an Ohio trip a week later. I think I shed a tear of Joy when I saw them pull up with it. The decals had been removed for a deep wax, along with all the vinyl replaced a few months prior, so it looked like it had just come out of the factory!

Other than a few minor issues here and there (Collapsed transmission cooler, bad alternator, bad coil, carb rebuild), the boat has run amazingly well. It takes me back to those glory days of being 10 years old and begging for a ride, just to hear the 351 roar! They had added a boom, an extended pylon, and a Bimini before I got it, along with a thumping stereo (Won for best stereo at the 1998 Sea World Ohio Reunion). I’ve only redone the stereo and added a 100 amp alternator to it, but it still has that same character that it had when I was just a kid. One day it will get passed down to my children with strict instructions never to let it go!
