I learned to ski in mountain reservoirs (cold water!). Bear Lake, Strawberry, Pinetop. With no wet-suits, it was always a sacrifice of comfort in a trade for fun. Once a year my family would go down to Lake Powell, a skiers paradise. Warm water and glass (if you''re willing to get up early). I always skied behind outboard or inboard outboards. My senior year in HS we went to Lake Powell with some friends and an uncle brought his Ski Nautique. What a great trip that was. First chance to ski behind a real ski boat. Carving and jumping was amazing and loomed ever larger (as fond memories go) as time passed. Fast forward to 2013. Married with 5 kids and living 15 minutes from a ski-able reservoir. Kids are old enough to enjoy the water now and I decide to get a boat. Right away I thought of a Nautique. If I could only find a decent used one I could afford to give my kids this same amazing experience! Happy to report I found a great boat (see pic). Very well cared for with almost entirely original equipment I'm indebted to the prior owners. Has always been inside its whole life and carefully maintained. We are absolutely loving it. 100+ additional hours on it so far and a few adventures. Trying to learn how to take care of some of the aches and pains of an older fine ski boat.
