The boat pictured is a 1971 CC Martinique. My Dad bought it in 1978. It had 36 hours on it. It has a 318 Chrysler engine with a Velvet Drive transmission. The engine was replaced in 2013 and has less than 20 hours on it. The replacement motor is rated at 240 HP. The motor and bilge are as clean as the rest of the boat. I replaced the helm and cable this year (2015). The interior is original except for the floor and carpet. Some of the interior is starting to show it's age. It is still great for a boat that is 44 years old.
I was 15 when my Dad bought this old boat. I spent many hours behind it on a Taperflex slalom. I learned to ski and barefoot behind it and a 1957 wood Correct Craft with a 6 cylinder Grey marine motor. The Martinique was a big difference. I bought the boat in 2013 when Dad decided he wasn't going to use it anymore.
This boat has always been used on the Ohio river, near Lawrenceburg, Indiana, or in Dale Hollow Lake. It's now dragging my kids around the same waters where it has dragged so many others.
...and the adventure continues.
