After two very fun seasons with a '74 Ski Nautique, it finally puked out and it was time to replace. I got that unit sold and replaced it with this beast. After learning to ski with my SN, I was looking forward to taking it to the next level with a barefooting boat. I quickly learned from my SN that Correct Craft makes an awesome machine! After much searching I found a BFN that was near by and in my price range so I made the plunge. I'm a sucker for big block power so I was sold as soon as I heard that 454 rumble for the first time!
This BFN is far from perfect but for me was a step up from my previous boat. It has a complete interior and the floor was redone. The mufflers were damaged and replaced by 3" aluminum irrigation pipe. The transmission needed a rebuild and the hull needed a good wet sanding, both of which I taught myself to do with the help of this website! After accomplishing both and much more cleaning I have a good usable boat that truly is one of a kind! I have yet to see another exactly like this one.
Like I said, this thing is far from perfect and slow work in progress. Hopefully in the coming years it will see the new upholstery it needs as well as new graphics and possibly stringers. Despite all this, summers in Northern Wisconsin will continue to be a blast on the water! I don't have too many pictures but am willing to send what I have if interested. Also, if you are redo-ing your BFN graphics and need a reference, feel free to message me. Let's keep these things on the water!
