I found this 1966 Correct Craft Ski Nautique in Wintergarden Florida sitting on the owners property on a lake being neglected. I traded him a high end Audiovox nav car radio for it. It was a job getting it off the old rusted broken trailer and getting it on my newer trailer. Took a few days to do it in the blazing sun. The hour meter says 199 hours. I talked with the former owner an he said the boat pretty much lived on a boat lift on another lake and was hardly used most of its life.
My plans for it is to use it as a treasure hunting blow boat on the 1715 fleet cabin wreck in Sebastian. I am a shipwreck treasure hunter/finder. Most of the treasure is in shallow water right near the beach and since this boat has a shallow draft it will be great to get in close to the beach to blow big holes in the sand.
It's going to need a new floor and some seats and some kind of a walk thru windshield so I can get on the bow to the anchor. I will have to add some cleats to the stern for 2 stern anchors plus some single speed winches to tighten up the stern anchor ropes. I already have a 18 inch blower but will have to modify it to fit this boat.
If I find a bunch of treasure this summer then next winter I'll restore this boat back to original and get some other boat for treasure hunting that's trailer-able since slips in Sebastian are very costly.
