Ever since my parents hinted at getting a lake house a few years back I started my search for a
wakeboard boat and got my boating license in 2011. I was very close to getting a 2003 Centurion Elite
V but didn't have a place to store it and would have been eating ramen noodles for a while.
When my Dad finally retired and got a house on Lake Monticello everything got real and I was
determined to get a wakeboard boat. Within two weeks of them getting the place I purchased
my first ever wakeboard boat in August 2016.. My search led me to North East Maryland where I met a
former CCfan member and he showed me this 1993 CC Nautique Excel. I knew nothing of the forum
and did a Boat History Report along with contacting Nautique to determine this indeed was a
Vdrive with fiberglass hull. The boat was exactly what I was looking for (minus not being Fuel Injected):
V-drive, Wakeboard Tower with speakers, Closed Bow, smaller boat for storage purposes, so I pulled
the trigger and bought it. So far its everything I dreamed of and have been out a few times
tubing (nephews...), wakeboard and wakesurfing. The boat is in pretty good condition considering
the model year and I had some issues with starting and getting out of the hole. So with the help of this
CCfan forum I have already replaced the starter, alternator and upgraded to the electronic distributor
kit and saved a boat lot of money (pun intended) and started learning more and more about the boat.
The people on this forum and very knowledgeable and friendly and I hope to meeting some CCfan
faces. Cheers and happy boating.
