Time to update the diary. This is our third summer with the boat and the best by far. We attended Green Lake for the first time this year, but it won’t be our last. It was great to meet the other members of our Correct Craft family and see the enthusiasm for these boats. A finer group of people will not be found anywhere.

We have become regulars at Lake Waynoka, a private 300 acre lake an hour east of Cincinnati. We get there as often as we can squeeze in a weekend and it always seems to be the best two days of the month!

I took the boat to her home this summer. I purchased the boat from a wonderful Correct Craft family on Boone Lake in Kingsport Tennessee, (I think they are on the fourth CC now). Both the gentleman and his wife passed a couple of years ago, I understand they were accomplished skiers in their day and even had their oldest daughter Diana driving the boat by the time she was six or eight. Three three of their children and two of their grandkids live a stones throw from their parents house. We arrived late on a Thursday night and had the boat on the water Friday, Lloyd, one of the children, said he heard the Boat running down the lake and said "thats the Barracuda" without seeing it. He was getting after his son Alex to get his wave runner out of the boathouse so the Barracuda could hang next to her younger sister (2000 Nautique) I had the privilege of giving Alex a pull on his trick ski Saturday afternoon. As we were putting the boat up on Saturday evening, Alex’s Aunt Marty came down to look at the old Barracuda, she told me how good it looked etc... I told her I would be up early the next morning to get some good water, and if she wanted, I would call her in the morning.

My five year old, Colin and I were idling across the lake at 8:00 am and gave Marty a call. She met us at the dock a few minutes later with her eight year old son Andy, and her nephew Alex. We pulled out of the dock and ran down the lake just a few hundrend yards, I turned the boat around and shut it off, and told her she needed to trade seats with me. You could not have wiped the smile off her face! I have seldom seen such pure Joy on a someone’s face.

She spent the rest of the morning driving her Daddy’s boat, pulling her nephew on his trick ski, and even gave me a pull(I tried my first unsuccessful dock start). She was driving the boat when I took the photo’s from the tow rope.

I hope I can give my kids the same kinds of memories Marty was reliving that morning. The fun we have with our family and friends when we gather to play with these CC’s is priceless, we want to thank our Correct Craft family and Keith for this site.
