Bought this 1978 Ski Tique in Feb 2017 with my friend Jesse. Purchased thinking it needed some cosmetic fixes and that the engine block might have been cracked (and that we would need stringers in the coming years). Ended up that the engine started right up and ran well. After some tuning up including new springs in our distributor and replacing the carburetor with an OEM Holley 450cfm, the boat ran like a top. Then the pylon gave way revealing rotten primary and secondary stringers. Over the winter of 2017/2018 we restored the boat with new stringers, floors and carpet. We also compounded and buffed the gel, repainted the graphics and replaced the upholstery. Happy with the outcome and hope to take it to more Mini's in the future. Pics below are before on the lift and after in the water.
