We have failed as a nation, in the last two elections to get the job done, 2012 is our next chance to bring Common Sense to the forefront as an objective and not a goal for how we govern our nation. Pay for Performance – we have to abide by that everyday, so why shouldn’t the state and federal leadership be held equally accountable for our nation’s performance?   Moreover, they should only be entitled to what everybody else “receives” -> Social Security and National Health Plans.

So if a candidate is an incumbent or a lawyer, strongly consider voting for ANYBODY else that is a candidate.

I submit we need to apply the following rules during the next election:

Rule 1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

Rule 2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

Rule 3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Rule 4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

Rule 5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Remember ELECTION 2012 IS COMING .....A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

Just like the saying..."absolute power corrupts absolutely". You sound like a conservative. Welcome to the club! I agree with what you write. Have you been following the "Debt" thread? Some good debate going on there.

Takes me 5 seconds to vote. "Spin" the wheel, click "yes" vote all Republican, and see ya...

Can not wait to November of 2012. Get this "A" Hole out of office. Tired of it!!!! Hopefully the Americans will not fall for the "Silver Tongue Devil" Again!!

My point of view, they are all crooks, but from my 35 years of learning and education, I would much rather take my chance on a republican driving the wheel of this country, than a big spender, non-christian valued democrat. F'em!! They are the most the biggest idiots, no common sence folk I ever seen. And I am being serious. Not all, but MOST!

Come on Perry!!

Lee.....You forgot to mention the RINO's (Republicans In Name Only) Republicans. Clear them out too!!

By the way, Obama in NOT an A-hole. A-holes have a use. In fact, I think Obama has served an inadvertant purpose. He has awakened the sleeping giant (the American people) to what liberalism (or socialism if you like) is. We are firmly rejecting what he is selling. I think he will have a very hard time getting elected again. His mojo is gone.

I vote conservative. There isn't much difference between most Republicans and Dem's these days. One thing for sure whoever runs against Obummer has my vote.

Yes sir, the republicans sure do have a great field. Do the republicans have a single candidate that thinks they can't "pray" away our problems? Oh, actually I think there is one. Huntsman, who actually said that the republican party is becoming the "anti-science party". The republican party is full of science illiterates waiting for the return of Jesus. But why listen to the subject matter experts when we are all so stuck in our idealist presupposed ways? After all it's not like science and engineering ever got us anywhere. Oh wait, that's right it was government employed scientists who invented TCP/IP the very technology were using right now to communicate on this site.. but I digress..

Why is Obama's aunt or uncle here?? How long they been here?? How come they have not been deported like the rest of them?? o I,m sorry, we have a liberal communist president.

Perry just sent your favorite president bro a large bill to get rid of them. If I am not mistaken, tax payers pay for jails and prisoners which are full of illegals but your buddy likes to keep him in.

OK Prisons via taxes. My favorite part of that article is:
"Perry has been criticized by some fellow conservatives as being too lenient on illegal immigration issues. Unlike fellow GOP presidential hopeful Rep. Michele Bachmann, Perry does not think the U.S. should build a wall spanning the entire Mexican border. Perry also has supported discounted tuition rates for the children of illegal immigrants at Texas universities, and he has said Arizona's tough-on-immigration law wouldn't be right for Texas."

I'm all for pulling our troops and putting them on the border. But why not just pray them away?

What if you don't agree 100% with either of those? Then what are you? As much as you like to lump everyone in one party or the other, not everyone aligns perfectly with one party. Not every one is a radical like yourself. And the part about global warming made me chuckle. "Change in global temperature is natural over long periods of time. Science has not shown that humans can affect permanent change to the earth’s temperature.Proposed laws to reduce carbon emissions will do nothing to help the environment and will cause significant price increases for all. Many reputable scientists support this theory." Case in point. Reputable scientists? That is a lie. Maybe 2% of professional scientists believe that..There are also 2% of Medical researchers who study Aids and think that HIV does not cause aids. Does anyone take them seriously? Nope..

So skicat, I know you don't think we landed on the moon, you don't believe in global warming, do you also think 9/11 was an inside job?

I think my point of that was to show that what Perry has to put up with as all these states along the border states, immigration is important for us down here. And though there has been articles which show false statements about what he supports. He has gone to the feds several time to upgrade border patrol, strenghten the border and was denied those times. As was Arizona was too. Since Obama has taken office there has been a more family killings, rapings, intruders on live stock etc and he denied not just texas but others the saftey we need down here to keep our citizens safe. And because deportation is an issue they get stored in jails and prisoners and tax payers are paying for it.

Where you think this pray thing is coming from, I have no clue where you going with that but whatever.

Not every one is a radical like yourself? This is what is wrong with people. I do not even see it as a radical. Those views are from creation of the earth and follow along to the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence and christianity. Everybody wants to create there own rules which is fine, but when you want to make them change what is mortal or immortal, and how we are suppose to live to wrong and not right, then I have I problem with them. Its not real hard. I bet 60% of folks in America beleive what I believe. You would be shocked.

The global thing I can take and understand, human temp can change but dummy Al Gore made millions of a scam which global warming. No I do not believe in it one bit. It will be freeking 40 degrees on Thanksgiving, in Houston Tx this year. Yea I believe in it..

Was 9/11 a inside?? Crossed my mind, and thought but I seen hard facts of the sequence on how it happend and it was a terriost attack.

So, what do you guys think of Obama's latest shenanigan? At the very last minute, he decides to give his "jobs" speech to a joint session of Congress next Wednesday night.....on the very same night and time the Republicans have had their first big debate scheduled, and which had been scheduled for a long time.

He knew it was scheduled that night so he decides to go piss in their Cherios. What an egomaniacal turd that guy is! I hope Boehner tells him to shove it! He couldn't possibly do it the next night because the NFL has its first game that night. He did that so he would draw independants away from the Republican debate.

The guy is quaking in his boots that he is going to lose the election, as well he should be.

I was talking to a higher up yesterday, works for the USPS, Now if you notice they quit saying on their commercials "$4.95 to ship anywhere in the US" so heres what happened, the once again *************** lobbyists employed by UPS and Fed-Ex went to congress and cried, they say the USPS is trying to create a monopoly on shipping packages. even at this level the free enterprise is attacking, business, so now they cant market $4.95 anymore in fears of stealing business.
really, WTF has the country become, you righties are waiting for your savoir, us lefties were looking for our savoir.....it aint gonna happen

One problem Eric! Who owns the USPS. We, the tax payers do. They are already operating billions and billions of $$$$ in the red, which is a perfect example of a government entity not being able to operate efficiently as a private entity.

So, I think we can make the assumption they already are not smart or efficient operators. At $4.95, my guess is it is an "at cost" or "below cost" transaction.

It it were a private company shipping at $4.95, I would say....have at it! If you can ship at $4.95 and make a profit, more power to you.

You are ill-informed my friend. The United States Postal Service has not directly received tax payer dollars since the early 80's. The USPS only receives tax dollars for providing free mail to the blind and for overseas voters.

But what do you conservative capitalists have to say about this article?

Executive Excess 2011: The Massive CEO Rewards for Tax Dodging

I will also add that pres Obama is an enabler and at least 10 of these guys mentioned in the article have substantive ties to Obama.

Phospher....I will read the article as time allows. I sure hope Obama's boy Jeff Immelt of GE is front and center in that article, along with Warren Buffett. I understand he has some tax "issues" too.

On the USPS....I honestly don't know how they are set up or structured, but I do know they come to the Feds asking for bailouts on a routine basis, just as Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac do. Hmmmm! See a trend developing here?? Government entities=lose money>>>need bailouts.
