I think I came across something it the water over the 4th. My third “keel fin” is bent out of place about an inch. My first question is, would that makes the boat shake?..1990 SNCB …Pulled the boat out looked over the prop and shaft looked fine, how to test aliment on the two……thanks 1990SNCB 351motor Thanks you to all the men anode weman of the armed forces… |

No, the bent tracking fin would not make it shake, it doesnt take much damage at all to the prop (most likely), shaft, or strut to make the boat shake like a belly dancer.

shake how? Like on acceleration or at high speed? I doubt it would cause vibration. More likely prop or shaft bent, possible alignment issue.
I prayed before I went yesterday and God answered my prayers, everyone was safe, no stumps. |

As it could be out of alignment something had to change to get it out of alignment.
Bent shaft, bent strut are the first things I would check along with the prop. The prop won't take it out of alignment but it will "shake it like a belly dancer" but so would a bent shaft. The strut being bent will take it out of alignment and also cause a vibration. |

For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Agree with joe. Neither a bent fin nor misalignment will cause vibrations. Prop is probably bent- it seems unlikely to have bent the shaft or strut without damaging the prop. If you're lucky that's as far as the damage goes.
