i have a wood platform on my 66 mustang the thing is bolted thru the transome
the bolts look good but nuts are corroded. i will likely use this boat mainly as a cruiser
so i thought about taking the platform off my questions are as follows.
should i replace the nuts and leave it alone
if i take it off how do i properly fix the 12 holes
thanks philip

Phillip,
The quickest way is to put bolts in the holes along with plenty of sealant such as 3M 4200. If the look would bother you then it gets a little complicated with filling the holes with a filled resin and then topping that with gel coat.

If you decide to remove it I be interested in purchasing it.
I would try to replace nuts but you need to pull the tank either way to get to them.
