I'm a$$uming this is some sort of yacht- perhaps someone was cooking a turkey in the electric oven (visions of that Simpson's episode with Flander's RV come to mind).

another hint: it had something to do with electricity. not a battery or a solenoid either. and the problem was not engine related

just thought I would liven the forum up since the boating season is almost over. went on a warranty call a few years ago, the complaint was the engine was locked up, questioned them thru and thru and here is what they said: you sold us these transmissions which were Twin Disc Mg-540's 5500lbs. each about $85000.00 each. we installed them welded all the brackets and all of the bed rails in place and aligned. on start up the starter just clicked and clicked, changed starters and problem was still there. the engine would not turn... what was the problem
