I'm looking for the best one person towable for riders of 200 lbs and higher. I'm 6'2", 230, My son is 6'3" 245. We're big people. haha
I'd like a tube with an outer cover and something very strong with a stable ride. It will also be used for women and girls that are not as big as we are (1/2 the size!). Most that I see say "up to 170lbs". That won't work. Suggestions appreciated! Thanks |

I'm a total neophyte when it comes to tubeing, and I'm sure one of the pro tubers will chime in eventually.
But, wouldn't it be possible for you to get a 2 person tube and only one of you ride it at a time? I'm curious myself as to what the pro stance on this important issue is. Also, Please watch this important safety video. https://youtu.be/iFBKbzZ5ZT4 |

Just play along. And let's face it, if you have kids you have pulled tubes.

There are a lot of closet tubers here, but the only pro circuit tuber in the ranks is Pete. So, Pete, help the guy out. |

I had a super screamer once. Lived in an apartment. Boy the neighbors were glad when we broke up.

Tubing Nationals are next week.
Also on ESPN8, the Ocho Steve my regrets we're not as helpful as usual, just a little silly before the weekend. Please linger, and we'll see if we can get your inquiry answered. I concur the twofer inflatables could be suitable. I think Obrian had a double delta death dart years ago that we gave some inapropiate abuse to, something like that should work |

I forgot about that. Pete may have already left, since they are in New Zealand this year. Probably won't be back till next Friday or Saturday to help us out here. |

My college roommate had a super screamer. Kept me up at night but he would always gloat about it in the morning.

Your lucky. Where we live in Arizona the lakes aren't close so we go for the weekend and spend all day on the water. Once the water got rough there wasn't much else to do so out came the tube. I hate towing them but the kids loved it. Oh well!

That was our issue - that's why we learned to foil! Don't need flat water.......... Air Chair, Sky Ski, NeXt Foil.... Anything but tube! |

If you have anything left for the afternoon garbage you weren't pulling hard enough on the glass.

I'm going to ski school in a couple of weeks. Should I sign up for some tube sessions as well as slalom sessions?

Best for 200# ??? We will need more information.
We need to know what you're using for a Tube prop. Tube MPH's ? Rope length ? Air temp ? Helmet size ? Boat HP ? etc..... |

OK I can take the ribbing. I'm not going anywhere.
I was a tournament slalom skier in college. Busted my eardrum in an accident in 1990. Never had the balance like I had before. Then came kids. Kept my 1983 Nautique until 1994. Babies, another baby in 1998. Bought a like new Nautique in 1998 and kept it until 2007. Now I have another Nautique and I'm 50. Obviously not wakeboarding or skiing much. Some health issues mean that I don't have a lot of strength (double bypass at 45). So a tube it is for me! And they're a blast. My kids love it. Of course they ski and wakeboard too. Just looking for something I can ride on and have fun! |

Seriously Steve, the foils are GREAT. Unless you have significant vestibular impairment they are REALLY fun rides, easy on the body and ad a cool factor to the outing..... Now if you are jumping, I take back all I said above!
Come to a CCFan Mini and try a Foil. Don Adams is in your part of the country - look up TxFoilhead. |
