Old Style going Old School

When I lived in San Diego in the mid 80s, I had several friends from Chicago. Couldn't buy Old Style in SD. One of the guys used to keep a case of Old Style in the fridge, which was off limits. He always said when the end of the world was near, he would climb up on the roof, enjoy the view, and drink his last case of Old Style. Not kidding. That case
of Old Style sat in the fridge all three years I lived down there.

I've had very few beers as hopped up as this.

Terp, I love Yeungling, especially the lager. I used to drink it in college all the time. Unfortunately, they dont distribute it to CT or MA.

HW, given the choice of any 30pack beer, Ill take the American one because none of them are very good! Im with Joel, I love Belgian style wheat beers.

Tim, try some Yuengling if you can find it.   I always have the Light Lager in the fridge. I start getting nervous if it runs low! It's a really good beer at a very competitive price.   Heck, most of the time it's cheaper than the no longer fully American owned Bud/Miller/Coors.

PBR is huge around these parts. I think it started with the 20 somethings trying to go old school. A couple years back, myself and a few buddies went to a Reverend Horton Heat concert at a small venue in Detroit. There were two huge coolers bhind the bar. One had a mixture of beers, I started with Bells Two Hearted Pale Ale. The other cooler had nothing but PBR. By the end of the night, the PBR cooler was empty, and we helped empty it. My cottage, and my buddies cottage down the street, always have PBR.
Go to beers;
Summer- Bells, Oberon
Rest of the year- Bells Two Hearted
Favorites- Dragonmead, Final Absolution
              - Shorts, Huma Lumalicious
BTW, these are all Michigan beers. I like to support the Michigan economy any way I can.

Where's all the PBR fans??
Was down in 10RC for a family reunion a few years back and that's all we drank, Good Stuff!!

Blue Moon would not be my first choice for a Belgian Wit style beer. Although it's pretty popular, it's not a great example of a Wit beer. Try Hoegaarten or Unibroue's Blanche de Chambly if you get a chance. I could drink either of those beers all day.

I like how they put Coors and Bud in the "premium" category. Blue Moon has become my go-to beer, simply for the fact that it is a full flavored beer, and on tap everywhere around here. If you see the Bud product "American Ale" give it a try. IMO it's got a great taste, especially coming from A-B.
