Put some water in it to lubricate it and turn and pull with a bare hand, mine came out that way without tools or issues. and mark your pump so you know which end is up before you take it off as I am sure you read on here. keep track of the ring or make sure your new one comes with one, it should. I used water to help get the new one in but it's not necessary.

I found it helpful to then grab a beer - you're back to skiing, you deserve it.

For those of you in category #1...I've seen that some people have trouble getting those impeller's out...is there any trick to it? Should I take any special tool/puller just in case? Or will the basic set of tools suffice.

...I sure hope this whole conversation is a moot point...

Most welcome!

I got mine from Woody and always appreciate his knowlege. I'd be interested in the prices you find, but it's also pretty cool to call someone and say I need this thingy that's over there and sort of looks like...! He'll know what it is.

And I know what you mean. There are those of us who have changed an impeller on the water and saved a w/e; and there are those who will.

Sweet, thank you sir. I knew I could count on someone for the quick response.

It appears that this is also Sherwood part# 10615k for any future reference.

Need a little help here. Trying to order a spare impeller to give me that warm fuzzy feeling that I won't ruin a full week at Dale Hollow lake if the current one fails. Anyone know the correct impeller for the Sherwood pump on the 454's? I couldn't see the # off of the pump and I don't want to take the thing apart just to get the numbers.

I know I can just go to skidim, but I'm one who at least likes to shop around a bit, if they're on par with other price ranges, I'll gladly do more business with them.
