As long as 20-25 idle rpm is ok I am fine with that, like I said just never remembered seing it that low even though it might have been that way all along.
I plan on setting the idle higher, because I ended up dying going from idle to reverse one time. |

I have finally got my carb running consistently, and I set my idle at 500rpm. When at idle, my oil pressure bounces from 20-25psi. I have never noticed it that low before, but I have also never been able to hold my idle that low either.(I have chased a leaking venturi for a while that made my idle swing +/- 400rpm) When running 2000rpm:40-50psi, 3000rpm:50+psi, 4000rpm:40-50psi. I think I may need to bump up my idle to 750ish. I didn't try it yesterday, but it may pick up my idle oil pressure. I guess my question is what should my idle oil pressure be, I know I am fine when running, but the idle pressure made me nervous yesterday. |
