Ed,
Welcome aboard! You could be the 10th to get this group sale off the ground! Or continue with inaccurate obsolete componetry for the sake of Originality, Besides I dont think that White lake nor N3 is going to give you any breaks on parts. Karen might be a prefered source for older Correct Craft parts and they support this site! Good luck and again glad to have you on board! Jody Seal Florida Inboards inc. Panama City, florida. |

Ed, welcome to another NH guy! If by any chance you don't get the boat pulled this weekend let me know, I'd love to hit you up for a ride in a '93 Sport to check it out. I've been looking at possibly buying one and an up close look would be great.
Maybe use Tim's advice to get one speedo working, then buy a gps for the 2nd speedo? |

The speedo that is puking water either has its inlet line disconnected, or it has a broken diaphragm. Pull the dash and see whats going on behind it... if the leak is coming from the speedo itself, a replacement from N3 or White Lake is your easiest solution. The one that is simply not registering is more likely suffering from a plugged line... I would take a quick look at the pitot at the transom to see if you can probe any sediment from the pickup. If not, try switching lines at the dash, as you know the other line is definitely working!

Ed, it also looks like you need a Performance Engineered For personalized plaque for the right side of that dash!

Hello all...
I have loved following the forum, and have not posted before, but the advice has been outstanding in looking at areas I need to make adjustments or have someone make adjustments for me..... I have a 1993 Sport Nautique, with about 375 hours on it, runs outstanding, interior is mint, and always carefully maintained. Used 3-4 months each summer on Squam Lake in NH, faithfully covered, and carefully maintained each fall and spring. 2 years ago I started getting lots of water coming OUT OF the right speedo, leaking across the dash across the front, and dripping down on my feet while driving. The solution was to pull the tube from the back of the speedo and plug it with a screw..... Seems to work, drips every so little, but made the speedo useless.... This year the left speedo died. It does not suck any water into the cockpit, but does not register at all...... I am looking for solutions on repairs. I am really not experienced, but going to pull the boat this weekend, so will have it on dry land to play. I can get a new airguide from n3boatworks.com don't know if that will be the solution? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to search old topics, and not seen these exact questions! Any help would be great. |
