Whats in the transmission now? (20w oil is brown, ATF is red.) 20w is fine to run... if you can find it. Swapping over to ATF is not a bad idea either. The fluids are compatible, but plan on 2-3 changes to get most of the oil out. If you go that route, stick with conventional (NOT SYNTHETIC) ATF, either Dex/Merc or Dexron III. Avoid high mileage formulations as well... additives are bad.

I can usually get about 1.5-2 qts out per change. Capacity is a bit more than that. I use a vacuum pump, but drill pumps work fine too. Use the dipstick hole, not the drain plug. Be careful that you put the extraction hose in the hole straight!

How many quarts of oil should I put in it and what is the easiest way to take the old oil out.

My pcm40a transmission says to use 20/20 w motor oil. Can somebody help me out here?
