I think youve already gotten an answer to your question, but the only thing not mentioned is what the "stock" prop is on an Excal powered 200. It is not the 422 (12.5x15.5) that came on the GT40 and Excal powered '01-09 Ski Nautique/196/206. The 654 (12.5x15) that Jody mentioned is now stock on the 6.0L 200 only, I think... the Excal powered boats that Ive seen have all had the 1868 (12.5x14.25). The lower pitch explains the higher revs. It would be interesting to see how the boat performed with the 654, as Jody reports the 6.0L does well with the 422 and OJ equivalent (428). |

Yes that is about right with the 200 and a ex 343. I have a 200 with a 6 liter mine runs a lot lower rpm's even with the stock 654. suggestion as long as you are not jumping or trying to barefoot is to install a 422 ACME. currently I run a OJ on mine and run slightly over 3700 at 34 with a shortline skier, would recommend an OJ however at this time their is not a size that will efficiently work with the 343

Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

Do you know if your prop is the 422? Do you have the Excalibur 343?
The 200 hull is definitely slower then your 206 would be. |
