I mounted one on mine for the same reason. Mine is in the middle and slides up under the platform when not in use.

The CNC props are the new generation of propellers, different blade design/profile and materials, different build process. The Acme brand is pretty popular on this site, and it has been tested by many so there's no margin for error there. There's a propeller comparisson test somewhere onsite, maybe someone can link you to it. The boat becomes more responsive, pulls harder out of the hole and top end improves too, it's an all around gain. The Acme 540 would be the normal "update" to your stock propeller, and the 542 would be the ticket for loaded boats (wakeboarding) Deltaprop.com is a site sponsor and usually has the best deals on propellers. |

personally I would have gone with something that mounted under the playform so that from the top you wouldnt see it. Also would have mounted it in the middle of the platform.
ladder just my two cents!! looks like it would work tho

the change is easy (you may need a prop puller. Most are partial the acme lineup here. On the 1:1 transmission like you have I believe the acme 540 or 542 are two highly recommended option. You can get them many places. Check out skidim.com or just google acme540

Luchog: Can you expand more on the CNC propeller? I'm pretty sure this is the original propeller. I've kept my eye on this boat for 30 years, my family has owned the last 20, and were close to to family that owned the first 10 years. What would be the performance differences with the CNC, the cost, where to get, could a somewhat novice make this change?

Hughman, it seems you're still running an "old school" propeller, you should consider investing in a new style CNC prop, you will notice a hugh difference!

Thanks for the comments. I will be very paranoid about making sure it is up before I take off, that’s why I mounted it on the starboard side. No one under 40 is allowed to use. I used 3 Stainless bolts and one screw (where platform mounting bracket interfered) with oversized washers. Pic is of 95# daughter climbing up, was sturdier than I thought with her on it. Waiting for parts from Skidim to get back in the H2O.

Hi- I mounted a ladder on the back platform of a '81 Ski Nautique. Pics attached. Mid-fourties wife too tired after sking to easily get her rear end back in the boat (no comments on size of rear please). Trying to keep peace. Has anyone ever done this before? Hope to test out this weekend if I can get the boat running. Then I will update.
