I have never blocked up a trailer unloaded or loaded and have never had a problem. I feel the practice was developed way back in the bias ply tire days.

I block nine up. Just because. Like to keep the weight off the bearings to keep metal to metal contact at a minimum. Also, at least I feel, tires should rotate not sit still for 6 months. I actually turn them to distribute the bearing grease a bit over the lay-up period. Remember,

How many here block up their trailers with boats on them for the winter so that they dont develop a whatever after sitting on the same part of the tire for 8 months. I remember as a kid seeing things like this. Didnt know why.

Guys, try using google - search for CCF+winterizing. Must be a couple hundred threads

Yep..I would like something for an 86 SN 2001 as well. I think I know how to do everything...Just need to know where everything is. Drain bolts, transmission cooler drain, oil change, impeller. Anything else to think of???

Anyone have a good check list to winterize a boat? I am going to have it done but would really like to know what the proper steps are. Like change the oil in the fall or the spring? Filters? etc... I am pretty sure I could do it my self but just I am REALLY scared to forget something and pay the price in the spring....
