I have had this happen to me on a different boat and the puck had to be replaced. The hardest part was trying to re-run the wiring with a plug. I tied a string on the broken plug and pulled it out the "hard" way to see if I had to cut wire ties or move anything else in the way. I have been told the composite can be removed, wires soldered, then epoxied, but the manufacturer was against it. I replaced mine.

My guess is that you're SOL. Every one I've seen is hardwired into the puck and then sealed. You'll have to get a new puck and replace it. I know that they sell them separately.

When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

The transducer wire has been pulled out of the puck, on this teleflex transducer that I have. Anyone know if they can me re- 'stuck' in and still work?
Thanks! |
