The bracket is mounted with three small nuts and bolts. The only way to really tighten them is to pull the upholstery up a little and slide a wrench in there to hold the backing nut. There is also a little plate that goes over the nuts so you can't really feel them through the vinyl. It's almost impossible to get the staples back by ordinary means because the hinge end hangs over the edge of the sundeck. I have no idea how they installed it from the factory.

When I put the boat away this fall I disconnected the rear hatch lift
ram so I could leave the battery disconnected. When I did I noticed that the top bracket was loose and would not tighten up. Does anyone know how it is attached? I assume the fix involves removing the upholstery,how does that come off? |
