Cool looking boat.
It pre-dates the Ford 289 by some 18 years. What would it originally have been powered by? |

Kenny, Put a damper plate on the flywheel to match the Velvet 26 spline. I don't feel you will have a problem with the Velvet matching the bell housing since they were made to SAE specs. Nice looking Gar! I'd still like to see an appropriate engine under the dog house! |

Kenny,
I found Bruce's post.
Kenny, How about posting some pictures? A picture of the trans would be great too. We could then confirm what trans it is. |

Kenny,
How did you end up with a Ford and Dearbomatic in a 46 Gar??? Parts are difficult to find but there is a guy out east. He's been mentioned and I'll see if I can search to find his name. Bruce, What's his name and phone number Kenny, Which model Dearbo is it? Hopefully not the designs that used engine oil. Instead of trying to overcome the dearbo problem, how about a period correct engine? The Gar deserves it!! |
