Ski Pylon Repair

Trouble is not one of us on here knows how a Sprint Funsport is constructed. Is wood only used in the ski pylon area or does the boat use wood thru out- who knows. I think you are unfortunately pretty much on your own.

If those were bad I would have deck sagging correct? I don't have this problem at all is it possible it's just the one and the other aren't affected or are not at this stage of rot yet?

I've recently removed my seat on my boat around the ski pylon, while doing this I noticed my ski pylon is bent (not sure if it's made that way or not). I also looked at the plate mount at the bottom of the pole. I had planned to just take the pole to a dealer and ask them if it's supposed to be bent. When trying to removed the anchor plate I noticed the screws holding it down felt unusually loose. I tried turning them by hand and ended up being able to pull them straight out without the need of any tools. I know this isn't supposed to happen. I pushed one of the screw back into the holes it came out of and felt a very spongy material with my knowledge of woodwork I'm assuming this is a block of wood that these bolts attach to. I've researched how to replace the subsurface wood and have found nothing back on it. Has anyone ever replaced the subsurface wood for the ski pylon ? I can't find any sources of information and I can't see any type of access to its location. The only thing I could think of is to either remove the boat decking to see if their's any access on the sides of the boat or to cut straight into its location replace the wood block and re-glass it on it's top side. I also have no clue how long this said piece of wood is. Any information, resources or any guidelines from someone who has done this before would be greatly appreciated. By the way this is on a 1999 Sprint Funsport - and the company who made this boat is no longer in business.
