Talked with skidim. 10% off with their promo code. $413.00 + $35.00 shipping. New design in the last year. I would need the whole kit. Part number 1901. Hope this helps

10% off for being a member here!? I was looking at prices between 5-6 hundo online. I called skidim for a price. Still waiting for a call back. If I had a cream puff vessel I would buy a new one. Mine probably has close to 100,000 hours on it. Thought it might be helpful to others with piles of bent shafts too??

It'll be $250 labor. It's called Formula prop and marine. I will post the results. Should be around half the price of a new shaft.
Cheers

This math is suspect. Subtract 10% and you're at $370 for a dual taper ARE from SkiDIM.

I have a single taper shaft out of a 80 SN with coupler. Measures 50-1/8"
You will have to pull motor or at least lift high enough to slide shaft from inside to install.
$75 plus the ride.
Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

Anybody heard of Turn Wright Machine in Cape Cod? Talked with him yesterday. Half the price of new shaft. He has a bunch of you tube videos. Wish there was someone closer who had the skills to straighten. How do I post pics?

Matthew,
Stick with the double taper ARE shaft. If you went back to a single taper you would need a new coupling half.

Welcome and how about some pictures of the 74!

I have a 1974 SN with a bent shaft. Currently it's an A.R.E. Shaft system. 50-1/8" x 1". Can I run a stock shaft without the stock couplers?
Thanks
