Thought of engine getting hot and carb loading up or bowling fuel. Engine temp stays between 160 and 180.

The bilge blower has nothing to do with supplying combustion air to the engine nor keeping the engine cool.

If your running a Holley, check your power valve inside your front bowl-they tend to fail often.

Do you run in sea water? I see Carolina's in your avatar. Riser failure will act just as you describe. Pull plugs, check for water , rust, compression.

Idle mixture might be too rich and the plugs are fouling until you burn it out.

Have you tried adjusting idle mixture? Also could be needle/seat/float issue. I have had floats fail (not in my boat though).

1988 Ski Nautique 351W
Had a strange issue this past weekend teaching children to ski. I do teaching every weekend, this issue just started.
Engine acts like a plug wire breaking, but there isn't one. I know for a fact.
Here's the catch. It only does this when under a load pulling skier out of the water.
However if skier gets up by the second try, it never does it. It's only after 5th or 6th attempt.
To fix it, Got to run wide open for about 30 to 60 seconds. (Carb loading up?)
So thought it might be starving for air, Engine compartment blower is working great.
Thought of engine getting hot and carb loading up or bowling fuel. Engine temp stays between 160 and 180.
Thats about all I got.
Open to others that have experienced this and what you found to be the fix.
Thanks
