Sometimes the crimped connection wire to battery terminal can be corroded, as well as the wire itself (under the insulation).
Another common problem is corroded ground, possibly alternator mount. |

Boat = 2000 correct craft 196 ski nautique
Battery not charging. Alternator checks out at repair shop as aok. New battery - does not charge well if at all. No obvious faulty wires or corrosion. Starting with supplementary power pack sees the motor lurch but not turn over easily. We suspect a huge resistance somewhere that either prevents starting or prevents charging. Any suggestions?
