If you're saying that you have a distributor with a Reverse rotation gear and another with a normal rotation gear, only one will fit in and mesh with the cam gear.
Normal rotation, the distributor gear teeth go like this ////// Reverse rotation looks like this \\\\\\\ I'd start with the normal rotation setup and it should fit ![]() If you're saying something else, then you'll have to explain things better

Recently bought a 98 air Nautique not running.
I need to know what rotation it is and what distributor belongs in it because there was two different ones laying on the boat. The motor is a carbureted 351. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. |
