Fill up the bilge with water again. How's the prop shaft packing at the log? It may be dried out?

Drive shaft packing seal
Speedo pickup tubes Rudder Exhaust Pull the floor behind the engine cover. You should see the water coming in past the drive shaft seal. May only need tightening, may need new packing rope.

Okay, so for starters, I was asked to work on this boat for my girlfriends elder uncle. He would like to see it in mint shape as it once was. Finally got the boat lake ready. Required a card rebuild and an ignition issue. Now, my issues are. Gas gauge not works (have a new sending unit and gauge on the way), chasing a pain in the a$$ leak (found the rubber exhaust in the rear was cracked and leaking when sitting. found this by having the boat out of the water and filling up the inside with a hose. But still have a leak). Last major issue just ran into yesterday, bilge pump no longer works. cant really use the boat until that bilge pump starts working again. Any help or advice on common leaking spots or bilge issues or even fuel gauge not working would be appreciated.
