It is MUCH easier if you remove the intake manifold. As long as you are working on the EFI system, a new fuel pressure regulator may be a good idea -- fairly inexpensive and may save headaches down the road.
What are you going to do for the injector replacement? If you buy a PCM injector, they are quite expensive. The FoMoCo part number for the same injector is: F1TE-D5A. These can be expensive. You can upgrade to new injectors for under $250. I have one leaky injector 1st one behind the drivers seat. I searched but....
Does the intake have to come off or can I slide it in ? thanks !
