David, Thanks for the correction. I've learned something today! You know you can learn something every day of your life and still die stupid!

Well my boat is a 86 Nautique without a tilt helm so I should be ok with a normal wheel

Unfortunately, I have to disagree. I might say "most" helms have a standard taper. But, the tilt helms use a splined shaft and thus need a splined steering wheel. CC dealer is the best bet for the splined steering wheel as the after market splinned wheels are few. |

Keith,
I would be willing to part with the cap off of my steering wheel. Email me to work out the details and such. Also I can email you a picture. Eric |

Wakeboardin2k4,
Do you happen to have the center cap from the original wheel that came your boat (that says Correct Craft)? If so, I'd love to buy it off you. -Keith |

All helms and wheels are made with a 3/4" standard taper so you do not need to go to the OEM or the manufacturer of the boat.

So my boat is in need of a new steering wheel. Do I have to order one from Nautique or can i just get any steering wheel as a replacement?
