I just replaced the carpet and bunks on my Ramlin the Friday of the GL reunion. If I had to do it over again, I would not have replaced the bunks. Anyway, the bolts are countersunk under the carpet. I think they were 3" #12 self-tapping, in case any break off when you are removing them.

Always a good idea!
Sorry I couldn't be more specific but it was years ago when I did mine including replacing the wood. I do remember looking at it and thinking "OK. what the hell am I now getting into?". |

I changed mine once and if I recall correctly the screws are counter sunk. One way to find out though. If it was put together, it can be taken apart.

Anyone changed the carpet on their Ram-Lin bunks before? I definitely need to but I don't see an obvious way to remove the bunks- are there counter-sunk bolts under the carpet?
