Ouch...and I was just gonna e-mail mrs 87BFN to tell her how mature you had been as of late on here.
No dog in this fight so I'll just enjoy the game as I did Sunday. Well...I hate bellipuke but ya gotta respect what this team has done. And I love Payton Manning 'cause he was awesome as a Vol.....but I am still getting to like his bro. john |

Looks like that Pat's are going 19-0 because the Giant'd have nothing for them. Brady can look at it this way, he gets to kick the whole manning family's but in one year. Maybe they can send their sister or their mom to play next year... LOL

I tried to make a fair offer...I didn't even have a chance to make good on it. Oh well, those Sammies went down pretty smoothly. Chris said he didn't like Sammies anyway. |

Not me. I've gone Switzerland. I'll watch, but I'm not really emotionally invested in either team. I might pull for the Giants, just cuz it is exciting to see the underdog rise up and beat the odds. The Pack failed themselves. They were handed so many opportunities and didn't capitalize on enough of them. <sigh>, Now excuse me while I weep.... |

I agree Nauti.Although I thought the Giants had a chance,I never expected the Packers would be more affected by the weather.Even though the game was close throughout,The offense just never really got going.I wonder howmany Packers fans just became Pats fans.....at least till the Superbowl is over

Thank you Pats D !
I'm sooo disappointed in Favre! What happened? Tynes gave them plenty of chances to put the giants away. Little Manning looked like he was playing on Miami beach compared to Brett. Favre looked frozen and threw the ball the same way! |

Will all you bandwagon fans now be rooting for the Giants in the Super Bowl instead? Go Big Blue! |

James,
U of M? Michigan, right? Will the fact that Green Bay has an Appalacian State alumni on it's roster, keep you from ever pulling for the Pack? You were hoping to forget that right? Sorry. [/QUOTE] Reid I beleive michigan got what they desrved with that lose. I have been trying to get rid of Carr since his first lost to the buckeyes. But that lose wasn't just his fault michigan tends to get their heads over inflated and they forget any team can win on any given saturday. As far as the pack goes I like favre. He is a great quaterback. But so is brady. If they end up in the super bowl together I will be happy, because no matter the out come it's good with me as I like both teams. If you remember my home team is the lions so I have had to look for other teams to vote for, for many years now. |

OK, I was wrong about the rest of the NFL teams number of Championships, but I found the right answer.
Most NFL Championships: Green Bay Packers 12, Chicago Bears 9, New York Giants 6, Dallas Cowboys 5, Pittsburgh Steelers 5, San Francisco 49ers 5, Washington Redskins 5, Cleveland Browns 4, Detroit Lions 4, Indianapolis/Baltimore Colts 4. |

OK boys and girls, time for todays history lesson. On Aug. 11, 1919, a score or more husky young athletes, called together by Curly Lambeau and George Calhoun, gathered in the dingy editorial room of the old Green Bay Press-Gazette building on Cherry Street and organized a football team. They didn't know it, but that was the beginning of the incredible saga of the Green Bay Packers. Lambeau and Calhoun struck the initial spark a few weeks before, during a casual street-corner conversation. It was apparently a "Why not get up a football team?" remark, but once they were interested they wasted no time. First they talked Lambeau's employer -- a war-time industry called the Indian Packing Company, where he worked as a shipping clerk for $250/month -- into putting up money for jerseys. Because the company provided jerseys and permitted the use of its athletic field for practice, the club was identified in its early publicity as a project of the company. With this tie-in the name "Packers" was a natural, and Packers they have been ever since, although the Indian Packing Company had practically faded out of the picture before that first season was half over. MM, welcome to the most sacred of NFL franchises. The only NFL franchise that is owned by the people and not a**holes like Jerry Jones. The only NFL franchise that has a 27 year waiting list to purchase season tickets. The only NFL franchise that has produced more NFL championships (12 dating back to 1929) than any other team in history. I think the next closest team to them has 6 championships which I think is the Steelers or the Bears but I could be wrong. The Pats would have to win 9 more Super Bowls to be included in the same breath as the Packers records. I'm somewhat of a fan. |

Welcome aboard MM, even if it is for the remainder of this season only.
Hopefully, we will have lots of this: And hopefully none of this: But for God's sake, man, DO NOT BUY A G-DAMN CHEESEHEAD!. I'd send you one if I (and most other Wisconsinites) didn't hate them so much! |

I guess Manning knows which team is better. That's three loses for him this year and still none for Brady and the Pats. I have to vote for Brady he came from U of M.

MM,
The Jags played a great game! They've come a long way and should be a threat next season. Just be happy you're not a Miami fan. Ken |

We watched the last quarter of the Colts game at Lucky's Lounge after the boat show. The crowd there was pretty excited to see the Colts lose.

The Jags definately have a good team.Could Garrard be their Brady?Almost seems like it.I was pleasantly surprised to see the Colts go down, but I feel bad for Dungy,he's a classy guy.I am pulling for Farve and the Packers all the way to the big game for the NFC.I obviously would like to see the Pats finish perfect for the year, but if they're gonna lose in the Bowl,I would like it to be Farve that beats them so he could get another ring. That guy just never quits! The Packers and the Pats....almost a win/win situation either way.

Sorry JB, Don't worry you're still at the top of my list. Just ribbin you southern boys who get to enjoy all that warm weather! Mrs JB can send me the cleaning bill (belichick) . Gotta admit MM, that's a pretty good team. I've never been a super Brady disciple (a little too pretty boy for me), so if he needs to go, Garrard could step right in! Ya gotta hand it to Belichich though, the jags can hold Moss to one 14 yd catch, so you give Maroney the ball for 122yds rushing and throw in a lot of short passes. This team has got a lot of weapons. |
