I pulled my carb for a rebuild and it does not have 4160 on it! I have a crusader. I thought it might be the wrong carb because it is set up for a manual choke. It has been years since I rebuilt a carb so I am not very familiar with holley numbers! On the neck of this carb it has "list-1850-3" and "2050" under that.Could this be stock??? Thanks!

If no one here knows call Holley and give them the numbers, they can tell you exactly what it was off of. I believe 4160 means it has vacuum secondaries and a 4150 has mechanical secondaries.

Yeah I have been on holleys site and I believe that this is a street carb.1850-3 It is 600 cfm like the 4160 but I do not believe that it is a marine application.Really I do not even know the difference!

1850 is a street carb.

It's a 4160 model.
Vacuum secondaries w/ plain spring
66 primary jets
134-9 secondary metering plate
.025 squirter

You can use Holley # 37-119 (stock) or 37-912 (Trick Kit) for rebuilding.

This carb will work but does not include the safety features of the marine carb.

The easiest way to tell the difference is the marine carb has "J" shaped tubes for the bowl vents. The marine carb also has throttle shaft seals.

Good luck!

Price depends on the exact model. Summit racing lists 4-5 600 CFM models ranging from $400 to $500. Looks like that price is fair.

Does anyone know the holley carb number that I need for a 74 crusader? I know it is a 4160 but there is a couple of them. I can order from advance auto and get a good discount but I want to make sure I get the right one. I can buy for 375 new with my discount if it is the right one. Thanks(and yes I am getting a marine carb, dont want to blow up )

Kevin,

I recieved your email and my carb is a holley   6576 a marine carb no longeer in production. The tech department at Holley set me up with a rebuild kit. In your case a new one sounds like the way to go.

Go to the ebay page with the carb

Right click on the URL. (That's the "address" box where you normally type in a web site)

Click copy

Come back to this tread to post a reply.

Click on the globe icon above the box where you normally type.

A box will come up and in it type the description as you want it to appear in the thread. "ebay carb" click ok

The next box up will be the spot to paste the URL you have copied off ebay. Right click and hit paste. Then ok and your done.

You can always go to the "preview post" click on the link and see if it worked!!

Well, old dogs can be taught new tricks - it just takes longer. Then there's the problem of: "I did that yesterday and now can't remember how I did it!"

Thats the problem...Larry H. told me how to do this once...but I forgot by the time I got around to trying it.

Don't worry eric...you'll find out soon enough.

Wanna bet?

A 4160 is the style of Holley- but I dont believe it will actually say "4160" anywhere on the carb. The 50463 LIST number indicates that it is a marine 4160... thats the same LIST number Ive got on my '90. Its a 600cfm, which is exactly what you need for your 351w. It should look like this (but probably not as ugly):
