I want to replcae my ski pole with the newer model I have. I have the older pole in the boat and want to swap it out with this one. The current pole has a pin comming out of the bottom and the base in the boat is slightly larger. I need the base for this pole:
Thanks! |

Not sure how much luck you'll have finding a cup- might be easier to stick with the stock pole. I know someone who would make you an offer on that pylon, by the way- or offer up a very similar 97-99 style pylon in trade!

Benj,
Is the base just a cup welded to a large plate? Does it look like the ones on the 89s but with a taller cup? |

To be honest, Im not sure. I never inspected mine too closely when I had the floor out.
Seems like if youre not planning to run an extended pylon (since you have a tower) that using the original pylon would be the easiest way to go, no? The ring and finger look cool, too! |

Hi
I have Installed many newer ski poles and re installed delamed bases. Not a big deal. You can order a base thru any Correct Craft dealer. If you can not get ahold of a base shoot me a e-mail, this is not rocket science. their is however method to glassing in the base. jody |

Hey Jody,
How about sharing that method for those of us who will be needing to glass in? Sanity |

OR (1) - Drill/turn a hole into the bottom of that pylon to match what you already have in the boat.
OR (2) - Turn down the base to match the old pylon, so it slips in the hull mount. |

Yea Hollywood, I think that is the way to go! I am going to get a pin machined in to the bottom of it that matches the old one. I think it will work out well because I am putting a newer motor and dog house in and need to raise the dog house a little so the ski pole will need to be a touch taller. So if I get it machined with a pin on the bottom I can make it any height I want!
