Starting and Carb

Hey, this is for all you who know more about carbs then me, which is probably all of you.
I have a 1968 318 Chrysler. I put an electronic ignition in this summer and it worked great--started easy, ran great.
This winter I've kept the boat in the garage and have been dropping it in the water about once a month and running it for 15 or 20 minutes. However, it does not start right up. If I come back to the boat in a couple of hours, or even the next day it will start the first time I crank it. Any ideas for me to check out.

Since it starts right back-up after it's been started and ran for a little bit I don't see an issue. Any engine that sits for a long periods of time is going to be hard to start the first time out after sitting.
