Funny story related to having to put a pet to sleep.
The twelve year old son of one of my co-workers had a friend whose family had recently put their dog "to sleep". Well, a couple of weeks later this son broke his arm playing ball. It was a pretty bad break. The doctor told the kid that they would have to put him "to sleep" to reset his arm. Poor kid thought he was being put down like his friend's dog. |

Alexandria is cute! Our vet is very good too. My wife and I talked last night about making a decision before we move in late June. If we decide we're going to put her down we want to do it with him.

I am so sorry for your loss.I had to put my great dane down in 05 the vet came to our house becuase it was the most comfortable for her my god that was the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life But the best thing for her She was one of the best dogs that has ever OWNED ME. In Jan. this year out Brittany passed away what a great dog she was she was 11 and looks to have just passed in her sleep whe was playing chaseing bunnies that morning so that was a very sudden loss. Now we have a rescue dalmation who is 18yrs old not doing well at all. So I know what you are going through it is so hard to play god. I worked as a vet tech for many years and could just not do it anymore I could not take the euthansias it was like every dog was mine being put down and sometimes I'd cry more then the owners. I have been looking on petfinder.com for a golden mix. Thinking about the goldendoodles also. But really wanted to rescue there are so many dogs with out homes out there... Again very sorry for your loss and hope that your older dog just goes in her sleep so you don't have to make that call. Alvi is a very cute puppy dog enjoy him.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE,
There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. It is called the rainbow bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the bridge there is land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other. There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when suddenly one stops playing looks up! the nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group! You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again, and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be seperated. -author unknown This always brings tears to our eyes it sounds to me like we will all have many puppies to walkk back over that bridge with us... I can not wait to see every single one of mine... |
