You're being awful quiet about this boat you found!! Does the "CC" stands for Chris Craft or Correct Craft? I ask because if it's a double plank Correct Craft, then the hull sides and not just the bottom like on the Chris is double. That extra layer of inner planking will take more CPES.

I'm going to take a shot at a estimate. I'd say 4 to 5 gals.

There's got to be a epoxy supplier over there. Give them a call and see if they recommend a solvent reduction of their epoxy. It may save the hassle of bringing in the CPES from the states? I don't know the viscosity of the CPES but it's close to water.

Roger I had the same problem in Australia. I was able to locate similar products International make one called "Everdure Wood Preserver" and Norseal make one called "Epoxy Wood Preserver". Not sure if you can get them in the UK though but hope it helps. These products may not be as good as CPES as they all use their own formulas. The CPES has a fungicide in it's mixture. In my research I also found a post about the contents of CPES.

Pete, i read an article on a wood blow boat rebuild....planked and the article said on this build they used "cotton" to seal between them. just curious???

Thanks Pete, Yes Its a Correct Craft but in read bad shape, the guy I'm buying it from has told it as it is and been a great help with the shipping to the UK, as you said I think its ply skin with plank overlay, like Alan's Hurricane,so there will be a wood CC in Europe to take on all the Riva's one day.

Mark, yes same here no Rotdoctor now that's a list of chemicals, think I may get a visit if I try and buy that lot, still most jails have a wood work department.do like the idea of the fungicide in with Cpes, I can see you research this for us guys outside the USA.
