Attn: Diesel engine owners

Pete,
My bro in law is a Dodge stealership mechanic and recommends Seafoam
and I use Lucas also. As of the moment I'm filling my tank with
25 gal. diesel and 10 gal of fuel oil. I still have over 100 gals.
the fuel oil to use up. I think it runs a little smother with the
blended fuel.   

Pete, my neighbor has a 2002 jeep 4.0 litre, they were standing over it listening to what appeared to be a rod knock, i knew it was a lifter and the mechanic that was there beat him down to 3 grand for the 7 grand jeep, the owner was taking a major hit and this mechanic knew it wasnt a rod knock either because he told my other neighbor the same thing under his breath. So Friday i popped the valve cover after work, brought home some Mercury engine cleaner in a can, pulled the loose rocker and put a hose over the pushrod and procedeeded to squirt the lifter, worked it for a good half hour...fired her up and the noise was gone....
the other guy wants that jeep in a bad way so he can make some money on it, now they are agreeing on 4500.00, now the kicker, when i fired it i could see green seeping thru a little crack in the head....

I forgot to mention that Napa has the Seafoam on sale till the end of the month at $6.49 per 16oz. can. I have never seen the stuff on sale and the normal price has gone way up recently to around $8.00 per can. I just may go back, get a couple more cans and use it this winter in my boats to stabilize that cr** gas we are getting these days.

i see a lot of that pinkish orange gel in the bowls and main jets of small engines. briggs kohler etc on equipment not used too often. on some i start them when they will and watch them run up and down on the governor . a quarter of a can of sea foam and 15 minutes . its like a miracle you see the motors stabilize the rpms and off they go.

Seafoam is a good cleaner but not a good fuel stabilizer as it contains Isopropyl.
Google the MSDS. It cleans well because its Pale Oil, Naphtha and IPA(Isopropyl alcohol) just my two pennies

Well, the Seafoam seems to be working. I've only driven it for about 40 miles and yesterday I didn't notice the stumble. So, the chances are high that I did have junk in one or more of the injectors.

I don't even know what this means, but it sounds like winters in Illinois are rough!!!

I don't know about you guys but I really don't want to know how many inches(winter or summer) Pete measured on his man-o-meter.
