i have a 06 excalibur 330, i am wondering just how much anti-freeze it willl hold. i have added two gallons and it does not seem to fill.
also, you guys talk about pulling off the thermostat and filling the engine. i don't have the "traditional" thermostat housing. this engine has a plug just below the bracket where the two manifold hoses are attached and then large "coupler fitting" (for lack of a better word) i am guessing the thermostat is under that "fitting". i removed the plug below that fitting and looked in there, no liquid that i could see. of course i had already drained the engine by then, (im a bone head). it just dawned on me while i was typing. anyway, does three gallon sounds about right. aslo in looking at the levels of the manifolds and the plug there is no way the anti-freeze in filling the manifolds. fyi nothing is pour out the bottom of the boat either. |

It can take more than that, where are you filling from?

i am filling from a plug just below the two hoses that go to the manifolds. i am guessing the plug is 1/2" square top. in is on top of the water pump and way above the impeller housing. i am pretty sure no a.f. in getting in the manifolds.
is that a way to post pix of my ingine on here to show you exactly what i am doing? |

There are a few picture posting methods. If those threads aren't "stuck" at the tops of the forums you'll have to search for them. You cannot push a liquid uphill, it won't go any higher than where you're filling from.
Read the engine manual, it has an antifreeze filling procedure. |

i have looked in the manual, but it is a genaric one that i had to steal of the net. i purchased the boat used and the old owner lost it. i have added 2 gallons, i will try a third and see if that brings it up the to top of the plug hole i am filling from.
thanks |

Filling to that hole still won't get any to the heads, intake or exhaust manifolds. There are PCM manuals available here and PlanetNautique.
