I have a 1974 skier 16 with a glass split glass windshield with glass wings and i want to remove it so i can redo the dash. any suggestions on how to remove the windshield. I am currently restoring the boat for next season. i don't want to ruin what i have !

The windshield frame is held down by t-bolts. Take a look under the deck and you'll see them coming through. Pop the nuts off and the windshield will lift right off.

The bolts will probably be in pretty rough shape... in which case, you may want to grab some new ones on ebay- its the only place Ive seen them available.

Your local home improvement store should have these (toilet bolts) which work just fine and they're cheap. A few of mine needed a bit of modification to fit into the frame but nothing a little grinding couldn't fix.

The toilet bolts are also brass I believe. Are the ones on Ebay stainless?
